Crayola Experience

Back with another layout this week! This one for was for Scraplift Sunday at the Paper Issues Facebook group.  They give you an awesome layout to lift each week.
The design of this was very out of my comfort zone with the triangles, but hey...gotta try something new.  The papers are from Bella Blvd and were included in an old My Creative Scrapbook creative kit.  I have gotten seven layouts out of the kit so far and there is still a lot of product left.
Hope to be back soon with more great inspiration, and thanks as always for checking my layouts out and commenting.

That Was Awesome

I know it's not Sunday, but I finally got to sit down and work on the Scraplift Sunday piece from the Paper Issues Facebook group.
My take follows the form of the layout fairly closely.  My main paper choices were the Carta Bella line Boy Oh Boy.  Several of my embellishments also came from that line, but I also have a few in there from Basic Grey, Close To My Heart, A Flair For Buttons and the title from Heidi Swapp.
Hope you like my take!

Slide Buddies

Hi fellow scrappers!  I'm here today sharing my newest layout for the (P)inspired challenge over at Paper Issues Facebook group.  The photo had lots of red, white and black elements in it, but what spoke to me was a striped onesie (see the stripes on the sleeves of our sons shirt?) and the saying on the pin said Be the reason someone smiles today.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but my husband is smiling over playing with our son in these photos.  It was the first time he has gotten to play with him at chick-fil-a.  I also used the black and white paper as a nod to the inspiration.
I had these photos on my desk for awhile, and had tried other things, but nothing seemed to work.  I even threw away a whole nights modeling paste work because it just didn't complement the photos.  I think this design worked well.
The papers are from Bella Blvd Color Chaos collection and came with my June kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  This is the fifth layout I have gotten out of that kit, and still have tons left!
Thanks for joining me today.  I have plans to get more up this week, but in case I don't...Have a Merry Christmas!

College Graduation Layout

Happy Sunday Everyone!  Today I'm up with a layout that I am using to enter the December Sketchy Saturday over at Paper Issues.  I took their sketch, but used it "backwards".  My title is where their photos are and my photos are where their blocks of paper should be.  Check the link out and you'll definitely be able to tell how I was inspired.
The paper and embellishments all come from the August 2015 creative kit over at My Creative Scrapbook. The papers are from the Fancy Pants Summer Sun Collection, as is the flair and my title.  My title is a project life card that I trimmed to fit the space.
Hope you enjoyed what I created.  I'm signing off now to do the grocery shopping and hopefully get some scrappy time in after that.

October SSIB Reveal - Football and Pocket Page Layouts

Hi everyone - welcome to Lyne's October reveal.  I was blessed to be inspired by both of our photos this month.  The first photo reminded me of Thanksgiving/Fall.

Every Thanksgiving our local high school football team (where I attended) plays a game against the team across the river (where my husband attended).  We go every year Thanksgiving morning and these photos are from the first year we took our son.  He was a year old here.  We wanted to take him from the time he was born, but he was five days old and it was snowing the first year...not a good combo.  I don't know why the bottom comes across cream.  The whole page is white, but in every photo I took it came out cream :-(  I used a sketch from Queen & Co. to get me started on this layout.

Paper Issues - Fall

The second photo had several different blocks to choose inspiration from.
The blocks inspired me to try a pocket page.   I used cards from Fancy Pants Be Different collection to make a page about our son getting all his baby curls cut off.  This is my first time photographing a pocket page, and boy was the glare awful...haha.  I also have to dig out the exact date to fill in the right pocket card.

Thanks for joining us and can't wait to see what you create!
