October SSIB Reveal - Football and Pocket Page Layouts
Hi everyone - welcome to Lyne's October reveal. I was blessed to be inspired by both of our photos this month. The first photo reminded me of Thanksgiving/Fall.
Every Thanksgiving our local high school football team (where I attended) plays a game against the team across the river (where my husband attended). We go every year Thanksgiving morning and these photos are from the first year we took our son. He was a year old here. We wanted to take him from the time he was born, but he was five days old and it was snowing the first year...not a good combo. I don't know why the bottom comes across cream. The whole page is white, but in every photo I took it came out cream :-( I used a sketch from Queen & Co. to get me started on this layout.
Challenge:
Paper Issues - Fall
The second photo had several different blocks to choose inspiration from.
The blocks inspired me to try a pocket page. I used cards from Fancy Pants Be Different collection to make a page about our son getting all his baby curls cut off. This is my first time photographing a pocket page, and boy was the glare awful...haha. I also have to dig out the exact date to fill in the right pocket card.
Thanks for joining us and can't wait to see what you create!

Chid's Play Challenge - Cat In The Hat
Welcome to another fun reveal for Child's Play Challenge. We were asked this time to create layouts with the book Cat In The Hat as inspiration.
We don't read a lot of Dr. Suess around here for some reason so it took me a while to find my inspiration. It was only after I realized the my nephew A's favorite movie was The Lorax that it came together for me. After that this layout only took about an hour to complete.
I used the Hey Baby collection by Simple Stories for all the paper since they matched A's shirt so well, but kept the look soft.
The layout of the photo and embellishments was inspired by one of Stacia Brandt's Queen & Co guest layouts. She used circles, but otherwise the placement is very similar.
I love how this came out and I placed it in a memory tray for my SIL to hang in her office. I hope she love it too. Come over and join our challenge with how this theme inspires you. Until next...Keep Scrapping!

Scrapstuffz April Sands of Time Reveal
Scrapstuffz is teaming with Child's Play Challenge this month, and we're doing a sketch (by Laura Whitaker) and a picture challenge.
It took me a really long time to get my mojo on the sand art picture from Child's Play Challenge. I thought of beach right away, but just finished our beach pictures last month. Then I thought about doing just the colors, but I really wanted more than that. As I thought and thought on it I kept coming back to the sand of time as a page theme. It finally hit me to do something of my hubby and I now (11 years later) than all the old pictures I tend to work on. We've stuck together through the sands of time.
I also used the sand thought to create layers like the different color sands. Each paper layer is on pop dots so there is a lot of height to the layout.
I also used my favorite color (green) on this layout in order to enter Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog. Not only did it meet the challenge, but since the picture was taken outside green worked in that regard as well.
I'm also still undecided on if I need a title or if I'll leave it as is. Thoughts on that?
I hope you'll join us. Since it's a collaborative month one layout gets you an entry to both challenges!

March SSIB Reveal: Love Layout
Happy Friday everyone. Quite a busy weekend ahead here so I'm sharing my SSIB layout with you today. We we're given this awesome photo as our inspiration.
I also was late enough in getting this done, something that's not usually like me, that I was able to use the Child's Play Challenge pipe cleaner as inspiration too. I used a pink pipe cleaner to create the heart in the bottom corner. Let me tell you though...the picture just doesn't do this layout justice.
I was instantly inspired by the heart to create a layout of my sister and son. He just loves her to death! I used all Doodlebug papers, and some of their brads and punch outs as well. I loved my new Janna Werner flair from Scrapbook and More that I used a piece of that well.
I will be giving this layout to my sister before she returns to college from spring break. Hope you enjoyed my reveal, and that we inspire you to join some new challenges! Have a great weekend.
I am also submitting this for Sketch~N~Scrap's inspire us challenge.

ScrapStuffz Inspired By February Reveal
Happy Valentine's Day!! Welcome to my February reveal as SSIB. Let me say right off the bat how happy I am with how this layout came out. It's the first layout in awhile that hasn't felt like work to get it to where I wanted it to be.
I started with the amazing colors and designs in the SSIB photo. They matched perfectly with the flower from my 2005 wedding. I then saw Sketch #50 over at Sketch ~ N ~ Scrap and fell in love with that too.
As if that was not enough inspiration I also saw that Cards Galore had an add bling challenge, and I knew I was going to enter that one too. I used my wink of stella pens on the flowers, my thickets are white glitter, and there in bling in the upper right corner. It's the first time in awhile that I'm combining challenges, and I think it came out lovely!

2nd December ScrapStuffz Inspired By Challenge
Welcome back everyone! We're having two reveals over at ScrapStuffz this month, and it's time for my second. Remember, you can use one, or both, to do entries this month!
I was instantly inspired by the two trees, and I used two pictures of our Christmas tree from 2012. One is of hubby and son while we hunted one down, and the other is it all decorated. After that I wanted to mimic the different picture boxes by using different papers…something I really struggle with. I am always afraid of the patterns being two busy, but I ended up loving the effect.
The title was cut from several different Cricut cartridges. The wreath for the O was inspired by the wreathes in the inspiration photo. The letters were welding in the Cricut Craft Room, and the tree was topped with some red stickles.
I hope you'll come over and join us!

Scrapstufffz Inspired By 1st December Reveal
We're doing something new over at ScrapStuffz this month and having two reveals! You can use one or both inspiration pictures giving you double options and double chances to win. Our first picture is so much fun!
I was instantly inspired to scrap a few photos of a house in our area that goes all out for Christmas. The man has every inflatable decoration you can think of. He gives candy canes and hot chocolate all through the season, and it's one of my little ones favorite things to do…every night if you'd let him! I used a brighter red and green sine the photos are at night, and the lights on the truck are so bright. I had some border trim that was lights, and was happy to be finally find a place to use it!
So come play along…I can't wait to see what inspires you!

ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" November Challenge
I love being on design teams when it really makes me think outside the box. This ScrapStuffz one was a toughie for me, and I looked at it a very long time before something hit me. Once it did though...I was off and running and my layouts came together very quickly! So what finally hit me? The Mayflower! In my strange thinking pattern I kept thinking:
- Mayflower = Pilgrims
- Pilgrims came for independence/freedom
- Independence/freedom = Fourth of July!

The circles on both pages are made using the Epiphany Crafts round circle epoxy machine. This is a new tool for me and I love it! I created the title using wood veneer that I painted with some acrylic paint I had around. Boy was it messy since the letters are so small, but I love the dimension is gives and the variety of colors available.
What does the inspiration picture make you think of? Come over and link up with us for a chance to win. Don't forget that our winner is design team chosen so everyone has a great shot!

ScrapStuffz Fall Blog Hop
Hi everyone, and welcome to the ScrapStuffz Inspired By Hooray for Fall Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Stephanie's blog you're in the right place. If you got lost along the way head back over to the ScapStuffz blog to start over. We were given an inspiration photo this month as well as an awesome sketch provided by Brenshevia. Each item was so wonderful that you could have done an awesome layout with either one, but combine them and you have something stupendous!
I was inspired in the photo by the pumpkins and leaves. I finally pulled out the photos from M's first trip to the pumpkin patch. He was eleven months old at the time and is now about a month from being three!! I used quilled leaves I purchased from a lady on Facebook (wish I could remember who to send you there), Epiphany crafts round epoxy punch, Kiwi Lane Designs templates, and Echo Park's Fall reflections.
Want to play along with us?
1. Leave a comment on each blog along the hop.

Sketch~N~Scrap - October 15th Challenge
When I started this blog, less than a year ago, I never imagined how many cool websites, blogs, companies and people I'd get to work with.
The ScrapStuffz Etsy Store is sponsoring the October 15th challenge at Sketch~N~Scrap so we were given the chance to be "guest" designers if we had the time. How fun!
We were given this fabulous sketch to work with. There were so many different things you do with this even though it had some October themed items on it.

I chose to follow the layout of the items, but go with a completely different theme. I did want to keep some of the distinct elements of the sketch so I worked in the arrows and the chevron. You can't tell but the green washi directly above the arrow has arrows as well.
I hope this inspires you to hop on over to their blog, and enter their challenge. A big thank you to Sketch~N~Scrap for letting me play along with them!

ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" October Reveal
Time for another great project brought to you by ScrapStuffz Inspired By Challenge blog. This month as we really get into the swing of fall there are so many ways you could choose to go with the inspiration picture.
The colors in this picture are lovely, but the wood of the barn and the shape of the doors were where I got my inspiration from most. I used a wood grain paper and burlap for the barn inspiration, and cut my photos similar to the shape of the doors. I created the arch to mimic the roof and the the vines.
The little bubble in the center of the arch is a sticker that is attached to the top of an arrow. When you pull it up out comes another picture of the event we were at, and on the back in my journalling. I've really been enjoying lately trying to find ways to hid other pictures or journalling.
So how does this picture inspire you? Be sure to link up with us over the blog for your chance to win a prize! This months prize is a set of corrugated thickers in traditional Halloween colors. I can't wait to see what you create.

ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" September Reveal
So can you believe it's September already!?!? Beside cooler days and the return of school the beginning of September means another challenge over at the ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" blog. So the inspiration photo for this month gave me a bit of trouble.
At first all I could see was the food, and I could figure out what direction to go in with that. I put it aside for a few days and came back to it. Then it hit me....I can use the colors!

The paper has the green, yellow and orange in it. When I get new ink for the printer my journalling with go on the tag in purple. I made the flowers myself using different size scalloped circles, inked and joined with a color co-ordinating brad. The kicker about the whole thing...the photos I used ended up both being about food!
So...what direction does the photo inspire you to take? You have the whole month to link your entry, but don't forget that you have to tell us what part of the photo inspired your layout. Oh, and of course we have a prize graciously provided by the ScrapStuffz Etsy store.

ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" August Challenge
It's time for another fun ScrapStuffz challenge. For August we were given this awesome beach picture. Who couldn't gain some inspiration from this!?
The banner and Hello Summer are both from the Echo Park Paradise Beach collection. The banner is a sticker and the Hello Summer was almost like a project life card. I used my exacto knife and cut the words out and used pop dots on that as well.
Anything to do with the beach is always easy for me since we go there every year for vacation. I went a slightly different direction though and used the chair colors and water and scrapped pictures from the first time our son went in the pool.
The waves were hand cut out and then misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. You can't tell from the photo, but they aren't all completely covered, and then i anchored them down with a pop dot on alternating waves. The effect gives a lot of movement to them making it look much more real. The ribbon obviously mimics the waves.
I'd have liked to use hidden journalling on this, but wanted to bring more yellow into the picture so I used a turquoise marker on the yellow paper to tie it all together. How would you have done the journalling if this was your page?
I again can't wait to see what inspires you about the pictures and what you create with that!

Scrapstuffz "Inspired by" July Challenge
Today is the big reveal for my first official Scrapstuffz design team piece. Here is our inspiration piece.
I think my favorite part is that the half circle to the right of the top picture is a tab to pull out hidden journalling. I always want to journal, but feel my poor handwriting takes away from the pages. This was the perfect solution.
It really took me a while to decide what I wanted to do with this since I knew right away I didn't want to go the 4th of July route. What I ended up using was circles and the color scheme.
The first thing I did was lightly mist the paper, but I wanted to have the spotted look - not even color. It's much easier to notice in person, but it really adds to the overall effect. The circles are cut using the Creative Memories circle system...one of my first scrapbook purchases many years ago.
My title was cut using Cricut Craft Room and the Jasmine font. I used a text box and decreased the letter spacing and then made a shadow to have them stand out.
We really hope you'll come over and join us this month for the challenge, and I can't wait to see how the picture inspires you.
