Snow Fun | Pebbles

Hey crafty friends!  I'm posting today with a kill a kit layout.  I wanted to use up an old My Creative Scrapbook kit, but there was so very little.  I went searching pinterest for the collection, and found inspiration from Mendi's layout.
I had several of the same washi/paper strips so I used them like she did, but I improvised with the ones I didn't and with my embellishments since I didn't have any of the ones she used.  I love how it came out.

Out of this kit I was able to create four layouts, one mini album and two cards.  If I hadn't searched for the collection I wouldn't have gotten the last layout or the cards completed. I hope this inspires you to search when you are stuck and either scrap lift or make something your own.  Until next time...stay crafty!

Now let's check out the rest of the amazing Christmas creations!

I'm so excited to be back today sharing a mini album that I made as part of the 25 days of Christmas movies blog hop.  We each have picked a movie and created a project around that movie.  For my inspiration I chose the movie The Santa Clause Three.

I chose this movie due to the inclusion of Jack Frost...snow/cold is one of my favorite things.  The inspiration for a snow themed mini album was born.
I created a waterfall mini album using one piece of chipboard and a My Creative Scrapbook kit I've had since 2015.  Most of the items are from the Pebbles Winter Wonderland collection.  There sadly isn't much of it left out there as it was gorgeous.

I love the way the waterfall looks with the lacy corners, and frosty colors.  I used my favorite Fiskars corner rounder because I thought it looked like a lacy snow pattern.
I chose a simple design for the cover that emphasized snow, but left room for the owner to put a photo in.  The addition of a photo would make it truly unique to that person.
I have also created a youtube video on my channel showing how I put the book together.  I'd love if you came over and checked it out.
Before you hop on to the other blogs I have a giveaway.  I'd like to send this journal to one hop participant.  To enter just leave a comment here, become a follower, hop on over to the youtube video, leave a comment there and subscribe as well!  I can't wait to see who wins.  Happy Hopping!

Chill Out | CSI

Hey crafty friends!  Let me start today off with a question...how do you write your blog posts.  I'm sitting here today accompanied by Sam and Dean Winchester of Supernatural.  I could watch that series over and over and over...oh wait..I do!
Now the layout I'm blogging about today was created for the September 1st challenge as CSI Case Files.   I used products from the July 2015 My Creative Scrapbook kit.
Beach layout created with Doodlebug and Pebbles supplies
My background paper, which has all the required colors from the case file, is from the Doodlebug  Sunkissed collection.  This paper also fulfills the driving me dotting challenge at Southern Girls.
I think my favorite part of the page though is the Chill Out title from Pebbles Fun In The Sun collection.
For the testimony part of the case file I chose to journal about the differences between our son and daughter on the beach.  It's like night and day!
For the three evidence items I backed my photos with grid paper, used striped button from Shimelle, and have a seagull as an embellishment on the lower left photos.
I really find these cases fun to work because they make me think harder about using my supplies to meet the criteria.  If you join the cases I'd love to see what you create.  Leave me a link.  Until next time...stay crafty!

Happy Winter

I'm happy to be back with another layout today for Scrapbook Challenges.  I am even more thankful than normal to be part of their design team right now.  I think if I wasn't I wouldn't be getting any layouts done...I'd just be holding Julia all day long...
This layout was done with the January 2016 kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  It features washi tape and die cuts from Pebbles, paper and stickers from Echo Park, letters from Doodlebug and a die cut from Tim Holtz.
To make the die cut on the top/bottom of the photos extra special I pressed them into my VersaMark stamp pad and then embossed them with Ranger chunky embossing powder.  It gives the snowflakes a glossy appearance. It's almost like they are glistening.
Thanks for joining me today, and if you ever have any questions about my process or a layout I'd love to answer them!

Let It Snow

Time for my second reveal of the month with Scrapbook Challenges.  This is another page based off a sketch. For once I stuck fairly closely to the sketch.
The papers are from Pebbles and I received them in my January My Creative Scrapbook kit.  The pink snowflakes are done with Heidi Swapp modeling paste mixed with a bit of liquitex white modeling paste to tone down the pink color to match the washi tape from the collection. Can you believe I used pink on one of my boy pages!?
A little tip on the embellishments in the top right corner...think outside the box.  Actually, in this case turn the box upside down.  The thing that looks like a snowflake is actually supposed to be an Elsa (Frozen) crown that I cut the crown piece off.
Hope you are inspired to play along!

Hello Summer

Hi all!  Can you believe it's time for another reveal day at ScrapMuch!? This was a really hard sketch for me as I don't use a lot of circles.  I tried to embrace it and here's what I came up with.
The papers and stickers are from the July Creative Kit over at My Creative Scrapbook.  The ones I used are all from Pebbles and Doodlebug.  The sunburst on my page was a file I purchased from the Silhouette store.  It was meant to be a 12x12 cut out for a background.  I shrunk it down and cut it out of transparency film...voila..a stencil for my Heidi Swapp spray.
So how do you think it came out!?  I'd love to hear your comments.  I'd also love if you play along that you'd leave me a link in the comments so I can leave you some love too!

Sand In My Toes

Welcome to another reveal for ScrapMuch!?  The lovely sketch from Laura Whitaker that we had to work with is...

For my layout I used a bunch of supplies from the July Creative Kit that I subscribe too through My Creative Scrapbook.  The green paper behind my photos, and the banner paper with the summer icons on it are both from Doodlebug's Sun Kissed Collection. The stickers are from Pebbles Fun In the Sun.    The water splashes in the left corner are modeling paste, mixed with acrylic paint and put through a stencil.  I really wanted to make splashes around the page, but with how sense the stencil was it just kept getting all smooshy so I started over.
I feel like I struggle in general with very bright colors, but I really like how this one came out, and I hope you agree!
